Thank you, guys, for the sweet birthday wishes. I'm so grateful for this vibrant community I've cultivated, one connection at a time. You guys listen to my rants, congratulate me, and grieve with me - I love you all so much!

Now, per ushhh, I'm here to share how my birthday went. My birthdays are always superb; I've never had a bad one because I simply don't allow it. But this one exceeded all expectations. I'm loved, and I know it, but I didn't realize it was to this extent🥰.

Here's how it went:

Birthday Morning:

My dad's call woke me; he sang and prayed for me (and, of course, sent money - Alhaji Adeomi to the world!). This was followed shortly by my mother's call. We share the same birthday, so as she was singing "Happy Birthday," I was singing it back. It was a heartwarming moment.

I had to take a trip that morning because I had plans for my birthday, and it started raining. I almost missed my train ride, but I was determined to make it work.

Midday:

I got to my destination and was excited for what the day held (little did I know it was stomach ache). I had a margarita, and, as they say, "one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor!"

Slept off and woke up with a nasty stomach ache. I told myself Positivity prevails; nothing will shake this day 😂.

Evening/Night: I got ready in my pretty dress, and my date brought me gorgeous heels, so we stepped out

It was a whole buffet but unfortunately I could barely finish my small plate of rice because my stomach kept acting up so I ended up eating fruits.😒

I had my birthday cake lit and made a little wish. It’s a good year already🥰.

I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday weekend. Had some shots by midnight and ended up having a cathartic conversation (he didn't mind, though; it's our thing at this point). Now it's time to refocus because my finals are in two weeks, and I even had to write a pre-final exam today😒.
